In average each day you trek 10 – 12 km through villages in Mai Chau valley. It is quite interesting during your trekking because you sometime move through forest and rice field but sometime stop in villages to have fun interaction with the locals of White Thai people. Home stay there is quite different experience travel in Vietnam and South East Asia.

Day-by-day itinerary
DAY 1: Hanoi
– Mai Chau – Hang KiaWe depart from Hanoi for Hoa Binh then
reach Mai Chau. We have some stops on the way to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Following lunch in Mai Chau town we drive to the H'mong village
of Xa Linh where we start our trek to
the village of Hang Kia, home to H’mong hill tribe.
Besides receiving their hospitality, we will discover more about their
interesting culture.

DAY 2: Hang Kia
village – Van village Today’s trek will be
around 14 km. We start with climbing up the mountains and go down into the deep
valley to Van village. As we are walking we will see local people working on
the hillside and rice field, and herds of buffalo. By lunchtime we will reach
our village where we stay overnight. Stroll around the hamlets and play with
children. We will dine with local Thai family. (B/L/D)
DAY 3: Van village - Hanoi After breakfast we
will take 2-hour trek to Te bridge where we meet our driver. See rural
activities on the rice field. We will stop to visit Muong village where is
unique for people live in thatched houses on stilts. Lunch at Hoa Binh town that
is popular for the largest hydroelectric plan in South
East Asia. Take 2-hour drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi at about 6pm. (B/L/-)
